NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH
by Alan Ayckbourn
Directed by Chris Wilde
Performed at the Stiftstheater Augustinum
From 15 – 19 November, 2016
Neighbourhood Watch is a brilliant black comedy that is also a fierce and provocative political drama. It is about a brother and sister who move into a middle-class suburb and innocently set up a neighbourhood watch group in response to petty crime from a nearby social housing estate. What begins as a well-intentioned scheme for a safer community spirals out of control with devastating consequences: a warning of what can happen when vigilante volunteers take things into their own hands.
