I joined The British Embassy Players in 1983 to get back into one of my major hobbies, that of stagecraft – albeit since childhood that had been related to dance and light opera. A few months after joining, I was cast as Cobweb in A Midsummer Night’s Dream which brought home my limitations, i.e. that acting was not for me!

However, backstage work, which is very varied and great fun, took me under its wing and I have focused on production and stage management ever since. In addition to offering productions of a high standard, The Bonn Players provides a range of theatre-related events for its membership, so there is always something to do.  And the membership over the years has become like a big, happy, ever-expanding family.
