I’m John Kluempers (born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1966). Three years ago I never would have thought that I would be so heavily involved with theatre. But after three large role performances starting with Neville’s Island in 2018 under Devon Putnam’s direction, I am now still very active and on the Committee. I enjoy being on the Committee because I get to enjoy a productive team that has one thing in its heart: advancing amateur theatre in Bonn.
Besides working on the Committee, The Bonn Players have encouraged me to push my fledgling acting skills. I now say, “There’s no such thing as a bad role”. I believe that anybody with an interest in acting in an English-language group will find a very nice home at The Bonn Players. Acting is not my exclusive desire and duty – I never hesitate to help build a set or tear it down at the end of a performance. Due to coronavirus, I have recently had the chance to work on my video production skills for our online feasibility readings.
